Remembering Mason 2014 - 2022
Whenever the members would see Mason strutting his beautiful tail through a rehearsal site or housing facility, the members always knew it was Care Package Delivery Day!! He was always so happy to see all his drum corps kids and enjoyed giving out puppy kisses to all his friends.
Mason truly loved being a part of the marching arts. The best music to his ears was a 70+ piece brass section and an ensemble rehearsal from the best seat in the house! He would sit there for hours just enjoying the amazing music.
Mason was also the mascot for the Glen Ridge Marching Band for 7 years! At rehearsals , he always knew his dot...right under the podium at the 50 yard line and participated in many Memorial Day parades with his Ridger band buddies.
In January of 2022, Mason was diagnosed with a rare cancer. They gave him 3 months at best, but we were all so fortunate to have him with us all last summer for the 2022 drum corps season. I know he just needed to see all his drum corps friends one more time!
Mason will always be a part of the Care Package With Love drum corps program and his love for the marching arts will continue to shine on all the members for many years to come. But he now hands the reins over to his little sister Maggie, to be the puppy-mascot and give her sweet puppy kisses to all her drum corps friends.
Mason...the pawfect drum corps pup!!! Loved and missed by all who have ever met him. Forever in our hearts.
